Your chance to affect history (for NY nonprofits)

The NY state legislature recently passed UPMIFA legislation (S.4778-C/A.7907-D)  – and it is in the Governor‘s hands for signing!

He got it on Sept. 7 and he had 10 days (excluding Sundays) to sign it or it is effectively vetoed!  From my calculation, he has until this Saturday, September 18 (happens to be Yom Kippur – Jewish Day of Atonement) or else.

If you are a New York charity, you want this legislation (see previous posts on this topic for info).  And, if you want it, you better speak up now.
